We are looking for a talented marketing mind to lead the company’s marketing initiatives and drive company growth via highly effective lead generation in the targeted vertical industries for Datacubes’ Product and services. Ideal candidate would have a proven track record of establishing a brand identity for a B2B business. This position reports directly to the CEO & will be part of the executive team.

Director of Marketing

Location: Schaumburg, IL


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and execute the strategic marketing plan for the company
  • Update and execute quarterly marketing plans with the leadership team
  • Drive lead generation and overall brand awareness in our targeted vertical industries
  • Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns to drive leads and grow the sales pipeline
  • Enhance and develop marketing collateral around company’s products for Insurance industries to create awareness and drive engagement
  • Be a thought leader and communicator of the value proposition to customers and prospects
  • Assist with tailoring company CRM system and implementation for sales team
  • Manage company’s contact database and email marketing/newsletters
  • Responsible for registering, coordinating and (in some cases) attending industry trade shows and conferences with various team members
  • Lead the company’s PR efforts with media, trade journal, and industry analysts recognition
  • Managing and updating the competitive analysis and providing input to the sales and product development team as well as advising the CEO
  • Enhancing company’s website and search engine optimization

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or Business Management
  • 5+ years marketing experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns including email, social media, trade shows/conferences, PR releases, case studies and white papers
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to execute on multiple projects
  • Strong knowledge of new (digital/social media) and traditional marketing channels
  • Ability to grasp technically sophisticated concepts and convey them in a non- technical, simplified manner
  • Strong research and analytical skills to analyze competing companies and solutions and track vertical market research
  • Able to draft content for the website and marketing materials
  • Excellent communicator both verbally and written
  • Self-starter able to work independently
  • Technology start-up experience
  • Experience with social media marketing, email marketing and content generating/editing tools including SalesForce and HubSpot
